South Korea has a late year-end film smashing ticket sale records. “The Himalayas,” directed by Seok Hoon Lee, stars Jung Min Hwang as famous mountaineer Hong Gil Um. The blockbuster, released in mid-December, has attracted over 4 million viewers in 12 days — 1 million in four days, 2 million in eight days and 3 million in 10 days. The film is based on the mountaineer’s climb up Mount Everest to recover his junior’s body frozen on the mountainside after a failed climb with two others. The film opened this weekend at Pearlridge West theaters. This is your chance to view a recently released South Korean film in Hawaii. Happy New Year!

Jin-woo (Yoo Seung-ho) is worried when his father doesn’t return home. He gets a call from his father that he’s lost in the woods.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Jin-woo and Jae-hyuk get a bad feeling after their meeting with Jae-hyuk’s public defender. They later find out their lawyer has a fatal weakness at the first hearing. Jin-woo gambles to make money to hire a new lawyer for his father.

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-kang regains all of her memory and goes to see Chairman Choi. Chairman Choi tells her to come back to the company and she agrees. Threatened by Hae-kang’s comeback, Tae-seok and Jin-ri concoct another scheme.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-kang tells Tae-seok to send Jin-eon back to the research lab and make her vice president. She also demands compensation for her lost time. Jin-eon tirelessly visits Hae-kang at the hotel she’s staying and Hae-kang reports him to the police as a stalker.
