Playing for the first time in 19 days, the Chaminade women’s basketball team dropped its third straight game in a 104-86 loss to Dixie State.
The loss overshadowed a career night for junior forward Lilia Maio, who scored a career-high 26 points to lead the Silverswords (3-6, 3-2 PacWest). Maio’s point total pushed her over the 700-point mark, making her just the second Silversword to reach that total. She had nine rebounds, making her the first player in program history to eclipse 400 in her career.

HPU takes thriller at Fresno Pacific
Luke Hager forced overtime with a put-back layup with four seconds in regulation, and the Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team hung on for a 98-90 win over Fresno Pacific.
Four players scored in double-figures for the Sharks (7-4 overall, 2-2 PacWest), led by Chauncey Orr’s game-high 24 points. Joel Feigler added 20 points, with Hager scoring 16 and Connor Looney 10.
The Sunbirds (7-4, 3-2 PacWest) were led by Gabe Solarin’s 17 points.
Next up for the Sharks is Notre Dame de Namur on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
