Mojo Barbershop & Social Club has opened its second location in the historic McCully Chop Suey space at 2005 S. King St.
The 1,300-square-foot McCully location features eight chairs for haircuts and shaves, a free beer with each cut and a new 15-minute head spa shampoo and scalp massage treatment.
The barbershop also has a larger lounge area and retail space stocking such men’s grooming lines such as Grant’s, Layrite, Upper Cut Deluxe, Ursa Major and Crown Shaving, along with accessories and gift items.
Cost runs $15 for beard trims, $35 for a haircut, $40 for a straight razor shave and $65 for a cut and shave.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. Appointments are taken at 927-8017. Walk-ins are welcome.
The first Mojo Barbershop & Social Club, reminiscent of old-fashioned barbershops, opened in 2011 in Chinatown, geared toward men’s grooming services with the motto “Keeping Hawaii Handsome.”

Laka Skin Care & Spa offers specialized facial
Laka Skin Care & Spa is introducing a new facial treatment using the H2 Suiso machine, which the spa says removes dirt, oil and bacteria while pumping in nanotized hydrogen molecules, purified oxygen, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C to hydrate and revitalize the skin.
This regimen is described as a treatment for redness and blemishes, hyperpigmentation, comedones, fine lines and wrinkles and discoloration.
To introduce the service, the 75-minute treatment is offered as a winter spa special for $95, discounted from $115. A five-treatment package is offered at an additional 15 percent discount.
