The Kanaka Ikaika Racing Association season continues Sunday with “The GR3EN Run,” a paddling event from Maunalua Bay to Kaimana Beach.
Race No. 2 is open to all watercraft: OC-6, OC-3, Oc-2, OC-1, surfski, SUP, prone paddleboard and V-1. It is also Race No. 2 2 in the Maui Jim Waterman Series with the designated craft being prone paddleboard.
Both the short and long courses are 8 miles. Staggered starts begin at 9:20 a.m. with prone and stand-up paddleboard divisions.
Race-day registration is from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Maunalua Bay.
UH men’s tennis edges Sacramento State
The University of Hawaii men’s tennis team outlasted Sacramento State 4-3 on Friday at the UH Tennis Complex in the first dual match of the season for both teams.
Five of the six singles matches went to three sets. Felix Albert, Kai Wehnelt, Marcel Chan and Igor Kolaric were victorious, giving the Rainbow Warriors four wins out of the six total singles matches.
The Hornets swept the hosts in doubles competition, going 3-0 against the ‘Bows.
