Three passengers who suffered injuries Sunday afternoon in the hard landing of a tour helicopter on Kauai were reported in guarded condition Tuesday.
Wilcox Hospital spokeswoman Faith Campbell said paramedics transported the three passengers to Wilcox from the crash site in Kalalau. They were later transferred to the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu in guarded condition.
“The pilot and three other passengers were all in stable condition and/or discharged,” said Campbell on Tuesday in an emailed statement about the hard landing by Blue Hawaiian Helicopters’ Airbus E130 T2.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the hard landing.

The truck, described as a midsize pickup, sustained front-end damage and a broken headlight. It fled the area, continuing north on Dairy Road, police said.
