Hawaii County police say an autopsy is scheduled for today on a badly decomposed body found by detectives in Puna over the weekend.
Police detectives discovered the remains near Beach Road off Makuu Drive in Hawaiian Paradise Park on Saturday, police said Monday.
Detectives suspect foul play and classified the case as a coroner’s inquest.
Due to the advanced state of decomposition, neither an identity nor gender could be determined, police said.
