Fishcake gallery will be the setting of a Valentine’s vintage sale featuring midcentury Modern furniture and decor, vintage fashion and accessories, estate jewelry and more from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
Participating vendors include Rue Vintage Rose, Catherine’s Closet and Playback, offering one-of-a-kind dresses and tops fashioned from vintage lace and linen.

UH design program seeks grads for show
The University of Hawaii at Manoa’s Fashion Design and Merchandising Program is searching for alumni to participate in its 50th-anniversary fashion show, taking place May 1.
Graduates may submit for faculty review an application along with sketches or photos of garments they would like to show, along with 500 words or less explaining their design concept, philosophy or background.
Finished garments in sizes 2, 4 or 6 must be turned in two weeks prior to the show for review.
The department would also like to recognize graduates employed or retired from retail and other fashion-related careers.

Workshop teaches ayurvedic skin care practices
A workshop on ayurvedic skin and body care will take place 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Bodhi Tree Medication Center.
Instructor Karen Dunn, a holistic aesthetician, will help you learn about your skin and dosha (energy) type, and what this means for your beauty needs.
Participants will learn to make a cleanser, toner, moisturizer and other skin treats. The class fee is $25.
