Honolulu police released a security camera image of a man on a bicycle who is suspected of breaking into a car in Makiki earlier this month.
Police said a man broke into a vehicle parked on Victoria Street at about 12:13 p.m. Jan. 14 and stole items.
The suspect, dressed in an orange T-shirt and shorts, and blue athletic shoes, fled on a bicycle and was carrying a black backpack. He appeared to have tattoos on his right leg.
Police released a security camera image on the honolulupd.org website and asked for the public’s help in identifying the man.

Suspect connected to stolen credit cards
Hawaii island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the personcaught bysurveillance cameras using stolen credit cards.
Police said the cards were stolen from the 75-6000 block of Alii Drive in Kailua-Kona and used at various locations in Kona. A laptop was also stolen.
Police ask anyone who knows the identity of the person in the photo to call the Police Department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or contact Detective Carrie Akina at 326-4646, ext. 277, or carrie.akina@ hawaiicounty.gov.
Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call CrimeStoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
Skateboarder hit, killed by Jeep identified
The Medical Examiner’s office has identified the 23-year-old skateboarder who died Thursday from injuries suffered when struck by a vehicle in a busy Kalihi intersection as Kealii Peters-Pasigan.
A 23-year-old driver of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler was traveling south on Liliha Street and had the green light when Peters-Pasigan crossed in front of him on a skateboard Tuesday afternoon. The skateboarder, who was heading east, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in critical condition. He died at the hospital Thursday.
Police said the accident at North King and Liliha streets occurred at 5:32 p.m. An autopsy will be held to determine cause and manner of death.
Pair charged with armed robbery in Aiea
Two men have been charged with holding up a third man at gunpoint in Aiea and taking his car.
Sean Miyake, who listed no local address when he was booked Tuesday, was charged with first-degree theft and car theft Wednesday. He also is facing charges of credit car theft, abuse and five counts of probation violation. Dean T. Haraguchi, 52, was charged with first-degree robbery.
Bail for both men was set at $125,000 each.
Police said the two robbed a 54-year-old man at gunpoint and fled at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 16. Police said Miyake took the victim’s car.
