With one record already in the books from Friday’s trials, Aukai Lileikis aimed at even more in the ILH championships at Punahou on Saturday.
Lileikis broke the mark in the 200 freestyle with a 1:37.19 time in the trials, then took down the record in the 100-yard breaststroke in the finals.
Lileikis covered the distance in 56.91 seconds to establish the mark. He later helped his Buffanblu teammates break the record in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:10.09. League officials reported he broke two ILH records in that race, taking down the mark in the 100 freestyle with his 44.41-second leadoff leg.
Nine records were broken over the two days.
Deborah Wen of Punahou broke the mark in girls 1-meter diving with a 447.95 score and Lia Foster grabbed the record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 55.91.
Those efforts helped the Buffanblu girls outscore Pac-Five 99-51 for the girls team title. Punahou beat Pac-Five 66-60 for the boys’ crown.
Jacob Cornish of Punahou broke the record in the boys 1-meter dive with a score of 544.50 and Pac-Five’s M.J. Mao set the mark in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 48.90. ‘Iolani had the other boys record with a time of 1:36.59 in the 200-yard medley relay.
