With Valentine’s Day a little more than a week away, it’s time to make those reservations. A few options:
>> 12th Ave Grill: The restaurant’s Sunday Supper serendipitously falls on Valentine’s Day. A two-order minimum is required for the roasted Maui Cattle Co. Chateaubriand with stuffed Hauula tomatoes, fingerling potatoes and Big Island cinnamon monkey bread. Cost: $55 per person.
The restaurant will also offer special dishes Feb. 12-14. The small dish is a deep-sea ama ebi carpaccio ($16); the large dishes include Kona cold lobster ravioli ($38) and crispy tai snapper for two ($68). For dessert? Manoa chocolate mousse cake ($9) with Tom Farms blood orange curd and a pink Champagne cloud.

>> A Cup of Tea: The quaint Kailua tearoom at 407 Uluniu St. holds its annual Valentine’s Day Dinner on Feb. 14. On the menu is lobster bisque, prime rib or Atlantic salmon; rice or mashed potatoes; a veggie medley; chocolate-dipped strawberries; and a pink rose Champagne sorbet. Cost is $55.95 ($35.95 for children 10 and younger). BYOB offered with no corkage fee. Seating is 5 to 8:30 p.m. Reserve at 230-8832.
>> Bali Steak & Seafood: Bali will have two menus available for the Valentine’s Day weekend. Both cost $89 per person. The pre-Valentine’s Day menu on Feb. 12 and 13 features Kona kampachi tartare; a beet-and-goat-cheese salad; a choice of roasted fish, Kona lobster tail or Kona-coffee-and-cocoa-dusted beef filet; and burnt honey pots de creme. The Valentine’s Day menu features hamachi and strawberry carpaccio or scallops in place of the beet-goat-cheese salad and adds a Maui sugar-glazed duck breast to the lineup of entrees. A la carte menus will also be available. Bali is at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki. Reserve at 949-4321.
>> Japengo: The Feb. 13 and 14 menu consists of sashimi-grade ahi with a spicy Alaskan crab roll and garlic prawns; roasted lobster tails with orzo, Hawaii Ranchers filet mignon and island mahi; matcha, azuki bean and black sesame gelato; and white chocolate lava, yuzu cheesecake cubes with fresh local fruit. Cost is $96 per person and seatings are available from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. A vegetarian menu is also available. Reserve at 237-6166. >> MAC 24/7: Executive chef James Aptakin has created a prix-fixe menu that is “designed to heighten the senses and leave lovers wanting more.” The $39 meal begins with the restaurant’s Champagne Gelee and Strawberry, followed by Kahuku prawns with sweet potato mash, Surf & Turf (short ribs and lobster tail with kiawe-smoked baby arugula, shaved asparagus, Kahuku corn and coconut flan) and a flourless Waialua chocolate torte with white chocolate raspberry glaze. Each couple will leave with a can of whipped cream to take home “and play with as you wish.” Bottles of La Marca Prosecco will be offered at a special rate of $20 with purchases of two prix-fixe meals. >> North Shore Kula Grille and Paakai: Several Valentine’s Day options are available at Turtle Bay Resort in Kahuku. First, for big eaters, a buffet featuring a five-peppercorn prime rib from Parker Ranch Paniolo Cattle Co., jumbo sea scallops, a rack of New Zealand lamb chops encrusted with macadamia nuts, and more for $68 at North Shore Kula Grille. Seatings are 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The Grille also offers Parker Ranch Paniolo Cattle Co.’s 12-ounce, specialty-cut Tomahawk Beef Rib Steak ($34) and 12-ounce Striploin Steak ($28), with Kula veggies and garlic mashed potatoes.
Finally, upscale restaurant Paakai offers a dinner with wine pairings for $140 ($85 without wine). The menu features a choice of bone-in New York steak, island snapper and crab with Cognac sauce. The meal comes with a sinful dessert of Waialua chocolate pot de creme with strawberries. Seatings are from 5 to 9 p.m.

>> The Pineapple Room: Alan Wong celebrates Feb. 14 with a prix-fixe menu of soup (Kula tomato bisque) or salad (beet salad); a choice of appetizer; an entree of filet mignon, pork belly or mahimahi; and a dessert of matcha opera cake. >> Wood & Bucket Tapas Bar and Grill: The prix-fixe meal for two includes cheese ravioli in a pesto cream sauce; tuna carpaccio; a choice of lobster pasta or beef Wellington; and choice of chocolate fondue or creme brulee.
