Steve Jones, second from left, was the guest of honor Friday when the Hawaii Pops played every song from the Beatles’ albums “Rubber Soul” and “Revolver” at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The concert was dedicated to Jones, a bassist who is on leave from the Pops while he battles advanced cancer, and he went backstage to catch up with Zanuck Kapala Lindsey (guitar/vocals), left, Pops artistic director Matt Catingub (keyboards/vocals) and Bruce Hamada (bass/vocals) afterward.
