Toshihiro Kosins scored the game’s lone goal as Kalani advanced to the OIA boys soccer final with an 1-0 over host Kapolei on Thursday.
Kalani (12-0-0) will face Kaiser in Saturday’s Division I final at Kapolei. Kalani lost in the state title game last year. The Hurricanes (9-2-1) will face Radford in the third-place game.
Kaiser 3, Radford 0
The Cougars (9-2-1) advanced by beating the Rams (8-5-0) in the semifinals at Kapolei. Makana Srivongsana scored twice for Kaiser, which won the OIA title in 2014. Nicholas Georgia also scored in the win.
Roosevelt 3, Waipahu 2, 2OT/PK
The Rough Riders advanced to the OIA Division II title game by outshooting the Marauders 4-1 in penalty kicks at Waialua. Roosevelt will face Waialua in Saturday’s 5 p.m. championship game at Kapolei. Both semifinal winners clinched the league’s two state tournament berths.
Chad Morishige and Easten Bolen both scored for Roosevelt (7-2-2), which won the OIA DII title in 2014. Isaiah Harris and Zachary Brown both scored for Waipahu (4-7-1).
Waialua 2, Farrington 0
Alberto Araiz scored both goals to help the host Bulldogs (5-5-1) beat the Governors (3-9-0) in the semifinals.
