Colfax Nordquist scored 16 points and Connor Looney added 15 points and six steals as the Hawaii Pacific men’s basketball team beat Point Loma Nazarene 81-58 on Thursday at Moanalua High School.
It was the 100th victory at HPU for Darren Vorderbruegge, in his eighth season as coach.
Nordquist was 7-for-8 from the field for the Sharks (18-8, 13-6 PacWest).
Tanner Lancona had 17 points for the Sea Lions (13-13, 8-11).

Kuany Kuany scored 25 points and Kiran Shastri added 21 for the Silverswords (11-15, 9-10 PacWest).
A crazy sequence sent the game into overtime. Azusa Pacific’s Petar Kutlesic grabbed a defensive rebound and was fouled by Kuany with one second left and the Cougars ahead 87-86. Kutlesic was then assessed a technical foul.
Shastri made two free throws to put Chaminade ahead.
Kutlesic then tied the game with a free throw, but missed the second attempt.
Schreiber and Connor Peterson both scored 17 points for the Cougars (20-7, 14-5).
Chaminade women fall to Azusa Pacific
Lilia Maio had 11 points and 11 rebounds and Courtney Kaupu also scored 11 points, but the Chaminade women’s basketball team lost to No. 17 Azusa Pacific 78-55 on Thursday at McCabe Gym.
The Silverswords fell to 5-18, 5-14 PacWest.
Kelly Hardeman finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars (24-3, 18-1).

UH water polo team routs Claremont
Hawaii freshman Femke Aan scored five goals and Irene Gonzalez added four in the No. 6 Rainbow Wahine water polo team’s 20-3 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Thursday in Claremont, Calif.
Nikki-Marie Bell contributed three goals for UH and Punahou graduate Roxy Kiessling scored one for CMS (1-3).
UH (11-2) faces No. 12 Pacific today to open the three-day UC Irvine Invitational.
