Cal Baptist edges Hawaii Hilo
The Hawaii Hilo baseball team dropped its series finale to California Baptist 2-1 on Friday at Wong Stadium.
The Vulcans (3-13, 2-12 PacWest) took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Jonathan Segovia’s sacrifice fly scored Michael Jenkerson.
The Lancers (21-5, 11-1) rallied with one run each in the top of the seventh and eighth innings, capped by Zack Norris’ single that gave Cal Baptist the lead for good.
With the loss, UH Hilo dropped all five games to the Lancers in the series. The Vulcans now head to the road to face Menlo College for a midweek contest before starting another conference series against Fresno Pacific starting on Thursday.
