A 24-year-old man was in custody Sunday for investigation of attempted murder after another man was stabbed in Kalihi, authorities said.
The suspect assaulted a 39-year-old man with a dangerous instrument at about 1:20 a.m., police said.
Paramedics treated the 39-year-old man for a stab wound to the upper left back and took him to a hospital, an Emergency Medical Services report said. He was later released from the hospital.
Officers arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder in front of his home, where the incident occurred, near the intersection of Silva and Mokauea streets.
Crash puts motorcyclist in critical condition
A 25-year-old man was in critical condition Sunday after crashing a motorcycle on the runaway ramp on Likelike Highway in Kaneohe.
The single-vehicle crash occurred in the Kaneohe-bound direction at about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, an Emergency Medical Services report said.
Paramedics treated the man and took him to a hospital with multiple injuries. It was unclear whether he was wearing a helmet.
