Hawaiian Airlines’ passenger traffic rose 3.6 percent in March as the company carried more seats than in the year-earlier period.
The state’s largest carrier said Thursday it transported 919,547 passengers compared with 887,346 in March 2015 while its load factor, or the percentage of seats filled, rose 1.7 percentage points to 82.9 percent from 81.2 percent.
Hawaiian’s revenue passenger miles, or one paying passenger transported one mile, increased 5.3 percent to 1.23 million from 1.17 million. Available seat miles, or one seat transported one mile, rose 5.8 percent to 3.54 million from 3.35 million.

>> Andrew Kim is the firm’s executive vice president and production manager. He has more than 25 years of mortgage banking experience, including serving as executive vice president of Honolulu Home Loans, and has held leadership positions at Central Pacific HomeLoans, IndyMae Bank, First Magnus/Charter Funding and Bank of America.
>> Kelly Tasaki is the brand manager of the new Pearlridge branch. She was previously a HomeLoan manager at Central Pacific HomeLoans as well as created and ran the wholesale lending channel at American Savings Bank.
