Rice transfer Nate Pollard, a 7-foot-2 center, will join the Chaminade men’s basketball team next season.
Pollard, of Bountiful, Utah, played in 28 games over two seasons for the Owls.
“We are happy to have Nate join our team next season,” Silverswords coach Eric Bovaird said. “He will provide a unique defensive presence for us. For a 7-2 big man, he has good hands and can use his height to score on the inside. He could be a big factor in our success next season.”
Pollard will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
His uncle, Scot Pollard, played 11 seasons in the NBA.
