A University of Hawaii football player, already charged in domestic incidents that happened about two weeks ago, has been charged with a felony offense in another case, according to police records released Monday.
Kennedy Tulimasealii, 21, has been charged with second-degree criminal property damage, a Class C felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
He was arrested Monday night at the main police station and released about an hour later after posting $20,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning.
Tulimasealii, of Waianae, allegedly got into a fight with an ex-girlfriend and damaged her father’s car, a source said. The date of the incident was not available through court records, but the case was opened this year before his previous arrest April 12.
On April 11 and 12, Tulimasealii assaulted a 20-year-old woman, then harassed an officer responding to a report of a disturbance at a McCully apartment and resisted arrest, according to a criminal complaint. He was charged in that case Friday with two counts of misdemeanor assault, resisting arrest and harassment. Resisting arrest is a misdemeanor and harassment is a petty misdemeanor.
Tulimasealii’s teammate Ka‘aumoana Gifford, 20, allegedly interfered when police tried to arrest Tulimasealii on April 12, and he was charged last week with resisting arrest and two counts of harassment.
Both defensive tackles were indefinitely restricted from team-related activities but allowed to remain on scholarship and continue attending classes.
