Tickets are still up for grabs for the University of Hawaii basketball postseason banquet, which is set for Thursday at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom.
No-host cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and the program set for 6:30.
Under first-year coach Eran Ganot, the 2015-16 Rainbow Warriors went 28-6 and notched the first NCAA Tournament win in program history.

UH advances to Big West water polo final
University of Hawaii freshman Irene Gonzalez scored two goals late in the fourth quarter and the Rainbow Wahine water polo team advanced to the Big West tournament championship game with a 6-4 win over top-seeded Long Beach State on Saturday in Santa Barbara, Calif.
No. 8 UH will face No. 9 UC Santa Barbara in the tournament final today at 11 a.m. at UCSB’s Campus Pool. UCSB won the regular-season meeting 7-5 on April 10.
Femke Aan scored UH’s lone goal of the first half against the 49ers and the teams went into halftime tied 1-1. Carla Abellan, Gonzalez and Danika Kotylak scored in the third quarter to give UH a 4-1 lead. Long Beach State scored the final two goals of the period and the 49ers tied the match on Jessica Brooks’ goal with 3:20 left.
Gonzalez then scored the go-ahead goal with 1:53 remaining and added an insurance score 50 seconds later. Sophomore Ymane Hage made 12 saves for fourth-seeded UH, the defending tournament champion.
UCSB, the third seed, advanced with a 7-6 win in overtime against second-seeded UC Irvine.
UCSB tops UH for BWC tennis title
The University of Hawaii women’s tennis team’s bid for its first Big West championship fell short as UC Santa Barbara claimed the title with a 4-0 win on Saturday in Indian Wells, Calif.
UH closed the season at 13-10 overall after making its first appearance in the Big West final. UCSB (18-7) earned the conference’s automatic berth in the NCAA championships by winning its first Big West title since 1996.
The second-seeded Gauchos won two of three doubles matches to claim the first point and completed the sweep with wins at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles. Jaimee Gilbertson clinched the win for the Gauchos with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over UH freshman Roxanne Resma.
Davis to speak at Quarterback Club
Award-winning journalist David Davis will speak at the Honolulu Quarterback Club on Monday to discuss his latest book “Waterman: The Life and Times of Duke Kahanamoku.”
Davis’s work has appeared in publications such as Sports Illustrated, the New York Times, SB Nation and Los Angeles Magazine.
Lunch starts at 11:30 a.m at the Maple Garden Restaurant, with the program starting at noon.
Hawaii Pacific, Hawaii Hilo split twin bill
The Hawaii Pacific baseball team (29-19, 19-17 PacWest) split a road doubleheader with Hawaii Hilo (8-32, 7-27) on Saturday afternoon.
In the first game, Sharks starter Rico Garcia struck out six and gave up six hits over 8 2/3 innings. Brandon Bonilla recorded the final out for his 12th save of the year as the Sharks pulled out a 1-0 victory.
Steven Camberos’ solo home run in the top of the first proved to be the only run of the game. Vulcans starter David Moody also pitched a complete game, scattering eight hits, striking out two and walking none in a loss.
In game two, UHH starter Jordan Kurokawa tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out nine Sharks and walking one as the Vulcans won 3-0.
>> The Hawaii Hilo softball team (32-17, 21-9 PacWest) swept Hawaii Pacific (16-32, 12-18) by scores of 12-6 and 1-0 at Vulcan Field.
The Vulcans scored all 12 of their runs in the first two innings to set the tone in game one, highlighted by Bailey Gaspar’s grand slam.
Game two was a true pitchers’ duel. UHH starter Danielle Wilson tossed a shutout, scattering five hits with a walk and a strikeout. HPU starter Paige Crawford surrendered just four hits in six innings with two walks, three strikeouts and one run allowed.
UH track and field wraps up regular season
The University of Hawaii track and field team completed the 22nd annual Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational at Anteater Stadium in Irvine, Calif., on Saturday.
Redshirt senior LeAnna Morrison led UH with a third-place leap of 38-06.25 in the triple jump, while freshman Karen Bulger came in second in the javelin at 145-5.
