Dogs in animal cruelty case receive care, comfort

    A puppy that was found alive in a city garbage bin at a Kahaluu home where dozens of other dogs were seized on Saturday was recovering Sunday at a veterinarian’s clinic, a Hawaiian Humane Society spokeswoman said.

James Montgomery, a 68-year-old Kahaluu man arrested for investigation of felony animal cruelty after police found two dogs in a city garbage bin, was released Saturday night pending investigation. Read more
