That’s the countdown of days for hurricane season, which officially started June 1 and runs through November. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center is leaning toward an average to above-average hurricane season, predicting four to seven tropical cyclones, while state climatologists forecast an above-average season. So hang on to your hats, literally.
Now’s the time to start preparing the emergency provisions: water, canned goods, flashlights, batteries and battery-powered radio.
