The University of Hawaii coed sailing team closed the season with a 14th-place finish in the semifinals of the Intercollegiate Sailing Association Gill Coed National Championship on Wednesday in San Diego.
UH finished with 297 points in the Eastern semifinal, 118 in the A division and 179 in the B division, to remain in 14th place for the second straight day. The top nine in the semifinal advanced to the finals.
Six races were held on Wednesday and a sixth-place showing by the crew of Chuck Eaton and Kellie Yamada was UH’s top finish of the day.
