Police were searching Saturday for a shooter who seriously wounded a 47-year-old man in Liliha.
According to an Emergency Medical Services report, the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen Friday evening at the 1300 block of Liliha Street.
He was transported to a trauma center in serious condition, EMS said.
Emergency crews rescue 2 hikers
Emergency crews responded to two separate hiking incidents Saturday morning.
At around 10:30 a.m., the Honolulu Fire Department responded to reports of a hiker in distress near the Makapuu tide pools in East Oahu. Rescue crews located a 46-year-old female who was experiencing a medical emergency. The patient was stabilized before being airlifted.
About an hour earlier, paramedics treated a 19-year-old female who fell about 5 feet while hiking the Pillbox trail near Lanikai. The hiker was taken to a trauma hospital in serious condition, according to a Honolulu Emergency Services report.
