Motorcyclist injured in crash on H-1
Paramedics took a 25-year-old man in critical condition to the hospital Sunday evening after a motorcycle accident on the H-1 freeway.
Police closed three eastbound lanes near the Kinau Street offramp while they investigated the scene. The closure was reported at 6:55 p.m.
It was unknown whether he was wearing a helmet. There were no other vehicles involved, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.
Rescue crews help hiker to trailhead
Honolulu fire rescue crews helped a hiker who hurt his leg Sunday after falling from a tree on Manoa Falls Trail.
Eleven firefighters from three companies responded to the 4:23 p.m. emergency call.
The firefighters transported the man, believed to be in his 30s, to the trailhead, where paramedics were waiting.
