The U.S. Postal Service has been issuing stamps about space exploration since 1962. The new “Views of Our Planets” sheet ($7.52; available at your neighborhood post office and usps.com) commemorates U.S. photographic exploration of the eight planets in our solar system, with information on the back of each 16-stamp sheet.
The demotion of Pluto to dwarf planet status in 2006 still rankles some, but the USPS is honoring the icy body with the four-stamp minisheet “Pluto — Explored!” ($1.88). The mini- sheet celebrates the historic flyby of Pluto in 2015 that completed a half-century of American photo missions in the solar system. — John Berger
Delightful ‘Vicious’ airs its last hurrah
Half the fun of the PBS sitcom “Vicious” is watching two of England’s most distinguished actors, Sirs Ian McKellen, left, and Derek Jacobi, ham it up as a pair of bitchy old queens who have been together almost 50 years (let’s just say British comedy is not known for its subtlety or political correctness). The other half is the biting zingers and cracking-good supporting cast. “Game of Thrones” fans will be gobsmacked to see Welsh actor Iwan Rheon — aka Ramsey Bolton, the worst person in Westeros — as a sweet if dim-witted neighbor.
After a two-season run, “Vicious” is back for a last hurrah with a special hourlong series finale at 7 p.m. Sunday on PBS Hawaii. In the meantime, stream past episodes on Amazon Prime. — Christie Wilson
Wipe your nails bare with handy towelettes
I’m often leery of painting my nails because it’s such a hassle to remove the polish when it gets chipped and worn. Sephora Collection Instant Nail Polish Remover Wipes have rid me of this fear. The acetone-soaked towelettes are so effective I can remove all traces of polish from my tips and toes in under a minute. The formula is reinforced with white peach extract, water lily extract and vitamin E, which are purported to soften skin and nourish nails while providing antioxidant support. Note: You’ll have to pick them up in-store at Sephora, $5 for 20 wipes; Sephora.com won’t ship nail polish or remover to Hawaii. — Donica Kaneshiro
Zip-top bags yield tasty frozen treats
My cousin’s 15-month-old daughter Leila Manuel thinks she’s a grown-up and wants adult food, but doesn’t have the teeth for it. To entice her to eat her baby food, I picked up these cute Zipzicle reusable bags ($3.99 for an 18-pack, $6.99 for a 36-pack) that we pack with pureed kabocha, watermelon, carrots and more and stick in the freezer to make healthful ice pops. The watermelon-kale is my favorite, but apple-pear-carrot and creamy avocado, pictured below, also make tasty treats. And so her hands don’t freeze, I also bought a four-pack of colorful neoprene holders for $7.99 at zipzicles.com. — Michelle Ramos
Make lunchtime roar with kid-friendly cutter
Browsing the aisles in Waianae Store, I came across this adorable T. rex sandwich cutter, which would surely entice young kids to eat their lunch. Simply press down the cutter to remove the bread crust and create two Tyrannosaurus shapes. The cutter also works on pancakes and waffles or as a cookie cutter. Cost is $2.49.
