Buffalo Wild Wings is opening at Windward Mall in December.
The chain’s 7,069-square-foot restaurant will serve wings, bar foods and craft beers on the lower level next to Macy’s in Kaneohe. The space, currently occupied by World of Aahs, will have 48 patio seats and 237 interior seats.
The new eatery will be Buffalo Wild Wings’ fourth Oahu location.
Investing workshop set for Saturday

Uber begins helicopter service in Brazil
SAO PAULO >> Ride-hailing company Uber has begun providing helicopter rides in Brazil’s biggest city.
Uber’s communications director in Brazil said Tuesday that it has started a monthlong trial of the Ubercopter service between airports, hotels and convention centers.
Fabio Sabba said the service is operating from five helipads and four hotels.
In a brief telephone interview, Sabba said it is the only service of its kind provided by Uber anywhere in the world because it is not limited to specific events like the Cannes Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival in Utah where Uber has offered helicopter services.
He said Ubercopter is a partnership with the Airbus Group and uses three helicopter operators in Sao Paulo. He said Tuesday that prices range from $17 to $80 a seat.
Obamacare premiums expected to rise
WASHINGTON >> Premiums for popular low-cost medical plans under the federal health care law are expected to go up an average of 11 percent next year, said a study that reinforced reports of sharp increases around the country.
For consumers, the impact will depend on whether they get government subsidies for their premiums, as well as on their own willingness to switch plans to keep the increases more manageable, said the analysis released Wednesday by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation.
Jet, Ebony magazines are sold
CHICAGO >> Ebony and Jet magazines, which have chronicled African-American life for the past 71 years, have been sold to an Austin, Texas-based private equity firm.
Johnson Publishing Co. said Tuesday that Ebony and digital-only Jet were sold to Clear View Group. The sale of the magazines closed in May; no sale price was disclosed.
Foreign ownership of U.S. debt declines
WASHINGTON >> Foreign holdings of U.S. Treasury securities slipped for the first time in six months, led by declines in Ireland and the Cayman Islands, the third and fourth largest owners of U.S. debt.
The Treasury Department says total foreign holdings declined 0.7 percent to $6.24 trillion.
The Cayman Islands, a Caribbean banking center, reduced its holdings 2.5 percent to $258.5 billion, while Ireland cut back 2.4 percent to $257.9 billion.
China, the largest overseas owner of U.S. debt, also cut its holdings by 0.1 percent, to $1.24 trillion. Japan, the second largest, raised its ownership 0.5 percent to $1.14 trillion.
