Anuhea to be face of Cargo in 2017
Hawaiian singer and songwriter Anuhea will be the face of Cargo Cosmetics’ spring/summer 2017 collection.
Cargo president Brian Robinson explained in an online interview that each season the international cosmetics brand creates a collection inspired by a popular travel destination.
“Recently, I visited Hawaii with my family for the first time and was captivated by the rich colors of the sea and vibrancy of the Hawaiian sunset.
“While we found inspiration in Hawaii’s natural beauty, we also wanted to capture the authentic culture and ‘aloha spirit’ that Hawaii radiates. During my trip, I heard Anuhea’s music on a local Hawaiian radio station and then watched a few of her videos.
“Anuhea’s natural beauty, exotic style and magnetic charisma embody the spirit of Hawaii, making her an ideal choice for this collaboration,” he said. “I’m excited to have Anuhea embarking with Cargo on this journey.”
The two-time Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning vocalist said she has always been a fan of Cargo Cosmetics.
“I need makeup that I can rely on,” she said. “The portable packaging is great when I am on tour and performing under hot lights. It is an honor to be associated with the brand’s new collection.”
Cargo Cosmetics’ Hawaiian spring/summer 2017 collection will debut in more than 1,100 Kohl’s department stores in February. Locally, Cargo is carried at Walgreen’s Keeaumoku Street store. Visit cargocosmetics.com.
