The owner of a 35-foot catamaran that got stranded on a reef near the Ala Moana Bowls surf spot Sunday evening will seek the help of a salvage company to free it, the Coast Guard said.
The Coast Guard said 14 people were aboard the vessel. No injuries were reported.
Rescue workers assisted in transporting 14 people to shore. The captain of the vessel and another person remained on the boat overnight.
There were no signs of pollution from the boat in the water, the Coast Guard said.
