Present and former chief executives of Hawaii’s largest banks will co-chair a dinner fundraiser in August to celebrate the retirement of Jerry Rauckhorst, president and CEO of Catholic Charities Hawaii, after more than two decades of service.
“A Delicious Evening With Jerry’s Ohana” will be held Aug. 11 at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, with all proceeds going to Catholic Charities Hawaii programs and services.
Rauckhorst, who plans to step down by the end of the year, is wrapping up a 40-year career with various Catholic Charities organizations across the country, including 21 years with Catholic Charities Hawaii.
During his time at CCH, Rauckhorst helped expand the agency’s annual operating budget from $6 million to $27 million. Its various programs serve nearly 40,000 clients a year.
The three co-chairmen will be Walter Dods, the former CEO of First Hawaiian Bank and the current nonexecutive chairman of Matson Inc.; Peter Ho, the current chairman, president and CEO of Bank of Hawaii; and John Dean, the current executive chairman and former CEO of Central Pacific Bank.
The event begins with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. Dinner and the event program follow at 6:45 p.m.
