Firefighters are investigating the cause of a Kaaawa house fire that displaced seven people Saturday morning.
Five fire companies and 15 personnel responded to 51-676 Kamehameha Highway at 7:16 a.m. and found smoke and flames coming from a truck in the garage of a two-story multi-residential structure, according to the Fire Department.
The fire was brought under control at 7:19 a.m. and extinguished at 7:42 a.m.
A man and a woman, both in their 50s, were on the second floor of the house at the time of the fire and were able to escape safely.
A family of five was on the inside of the first floor and were also able to get out safely, officials said.
No injuries were reported.
A damage estimate was not available Saturday.
