Affinity Gaming, owner of the Silver Sevens in Las Vegas, the three casinos in Primm at the Nevada/California border and seven others in and outside Nevada, has been sold for $580 million. The new owner is Z Capital Partners LLC, a private equity firm out of New York. No immediate plans were announced, and nothing is expected to change at any of the properties until the deal closes in 2017. Located about 2 miles east of the Strip, the locals-frequented Silver Sevens opened in 1981 as the Continental and later became Terrible’s.

Buck-eighty-niner gone: The price of Las Vegas’ least expensive eggs-and-meat (bacon or sausage) breakfast at Jokers Wild has been raised to $2.25 from $1.89. That leaves $1.99 as the new lowest breakfast price, offered at Club Fortune and the Rainbow Club, both in Henderson.
Big Wynner: A visitor from Hawaii hit a $10.8 million jackpot on a penny slot last week at Wynn Las Vegas. The big win came on a Megabucks Wynn Wheel, a slot machine that was custom-built for the Wynn.
Question: I hear that the Las Vegas football stadium might be built on a golf course. Which one?
Answer: The new front-runner in the location derby for Las Vegas’ proposed domed football stadium is the Bali Hai golf course, which borders the Strip just north of Mandalay Bay. Its 140 acres are owned by Clark County but are currently leased to notorious gambler and real estate developer Billy Walters, which means a negotiation will have to take place.
