There are two bad things about approaching storms. There’s (A) the actual storm damage. And (B), there’s the damage that comes from the worry about (A).
While Hawaii waits and wonders today about Lester, the planners of several events decided the best way to deal with weather uncertainty is with the certainty of cancellation. Crossed off the calendar were the Okinawan Festival, Sunset on the Beach, the Aloha Festivals opening and many other events. Ah, well, safety first.
