Police arrested a 16-year-old boy who allegedly was riding a stolen moped in the Waialae area.
An officer stopped the moped driver at 2:40 a.m. Monday for a traffic violation. The moped had been reported stolen by a 59-year-old man.
Police arrested the boy on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
Man arrested in theft, outstanding warrants
A police officer arrested a 31-year-old man spotted inside a parked car early Monday in Waikiki.
The car belongs to an 82-year-old woman.
The officer found that the suspect was also wanted on two unrelated contempt warrants. The officer arrested the man at 3:35 a.m. Monday on suspicion of unauthorized entry into a vehicle, auto theft and the two warrants.
Police arrest 18-year-old in burglary case
An 18-year-old man was arrested late Sunday after a video surveillance camera showed a burglary at the Hawaii Kai Shopping Center.
The burglary happened at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday at a Hawaii Kai business. Police investigated the break-in and were able to identify, find and arrest the suspect at 9:42 p.m. Sunday.
The man was released at 12:25 a.m. Monday pending investigation.
