Arizona Cardinals guard Mike Iupati, the winner of the inaugural Polynesian Pro Football Player of the Year Award after last season, is among 19 players on this year’s watch list for the 2016 honor.
The list released by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame today also includes Hawaii high school products DeForest Buckner (San Francisco 49ers defensive end), Marcus Mariota (Tennessee Titans quarterback) and Manti Te’o (San Diego Chargers linebacker).

The winner will be announced Jan. 5 and honored Jan. 21 and 22 at the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame enshrinement weekend on Oahu.
