    During the IUCN World Conservation Congress, U.S. Under Secretary of State Catherine Novelli visited Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, with a group from Punahou School’s Na Hoa o ke Kai club, at top right, including senior David DiMartino. “The ocean is super important — even if you’re from Ohio, where I’m from,” Novelli says. “It’s important for the whole planet. With all of the emphasis that’s been on climate, people are starting to understand, we have to worry about the sea, too.”
