Police were searching for a boy who sexually assaulted a woman in Kailua-Kona earlier this month, Hawaii island police said Tuesday.
The victim was near Old Kona Airport when two boys approached, punched and sexually assaulted her at about 8:35 p.m. Sept. 3, police said. They fled when confronted by a good Samaritan, police said.
The woman was taken to Kona Community Hospital, where she was treated and released.
On Sept. 4, police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with the assault. He was later released to his parents.
Police said Tuesday they were still searching for the second boy, who was described as having a muscular build.
