The Hawaii soccer team cruised to a 5-0 victory over the Rainbow Wahine alumnae squad in the annual exhibition Sunday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Stadium.
Senior goalkeeper Monk Berger recorded four saves in the shutout, which was a tune-up for UH (7-1-1) coming off a long break and heading into Big West Conference play next week.
Addie Steiner got the scoring going with a third-minute crossed shot that drifted into the opposite corner of the net, over the head of UH backup goalkeeper Alexis Mata.
Furtado appeared off the bench and scored on breakaways in the 40th and 41st minutes to stake the Wahine to a 3-0 halftime lead.
Raisa Strom-Okimoto padded the lead with a 50th minute on a straightaway blast. Co-captain Lauren Takai capped off the scoring on a shot with a minute remaining.
UH opens Big West play at Cal Poly (5-5-1) on Friday.
