Electrical power at the Kauai County Building and Elections Annex will be off from noon to 2 p.m. today for maintenance work.
The Office of the County Clerk, Council Services Division and Elections Division will remain open, but all phones and computer systems will be down for those two hours.
Power will be restored to the buildings as soon as the required work is finished.
The clerk’s office is open from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Maui Fair parade will affect bus service in area
Part of Kaahumanu Avenue in Wailuku will be closed Thursday to accommodate the Maui Fair parade.
The parade, which will kick off the four-day 94th annual fair, starts at the University of Hawaii Maui College at 4:30 p.m., makes a right onto Kaahumanu and proceeds to Kanaloa Avenue.
Maui Bus service will be rerouted and some stops eliminated, the Maui Department of Transportation announced. For the Lahaina Islander, there will be no 4:40 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. stops on Wells Street and in Waikapu. The changes also affect Kahului Loop Route 5, Kahului Reverse Loop Route 6, Wailuku Loop Route 1 and Wailuku Reverse Loop Route 2
Maui Bus commuter parking, normally allowed at the War Memorial Stadium parking lot, will be relocated to the Kahului Boat Ramp from Tuesday through Sunday.
