A high surf advisory remains in effect until at least 6 p.m. today for the east shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and Hawaii island, according to the National Weather Service.

On Saturday, a wind advisory was in effect for parts of Maui County and Hawaii island.
Winds of 15 to 30 mph were forecast, along with gusts of 50 mph, in Wailuku, Kahului, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Manele Bay, Lanai City, Hilo, Honokaa, Pahala, Volcano, Waimea, Waikoloa, Bradshaw Field and Saddle Road above 5,000 feet, the weather service said.
The advisory was set to expire at 6 a.m. today, but could be extended.
