The University of Hawai‘i women’s golf team is four strokes off the lead after two rounds of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational at the Leilehua Golf Course on Wednesday.
With a team score of 582 strokes, the ’Bows are in third place behind Sacramento State (580) and BYU (578).
UH senior Raquel Ek posted a 71 and is in third place at 1-under 143 for the tournament, three strokes behind leader Julia Becker of Sacramento State, who shot even-par 72 and is 4-under 140.
Hawaii-Hilo is in eighth place with a 644.
The final round begins today at 9 a.m.
Chaminade men’s golf rallies past HPU
The Chaminade men’s golf team completed its fall season by rallying in the final round of the Chaminade Dual Match to defeat Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday at the Kaneohe Klipper Course.
The Silverswords shot a third-round 316 to finish at 909, 14 shots better than the Sharks, who had a two-shot lead entering the round.
Hawaii Pacific’s Thomas Pritchard-Davies was the top finisher among both teams with a three-round total of 216, edging Chaminade’s Jaren Nishimoto, who finished with a 217.
