Paramedics transported a 27-year-old man in serious condition to a trauma hospital after he suffered injuries from a stabbing in Waipahu early Thursday.
Emergency Medical Services reported it responded to a stabbing in the area of 87-270 Farrington Highway at 3 a.m. The victim was allegedly stabbed twice on the left side of his torso.
Additional details were not available.
Moanalua man arrested in alleged attack
Police arrested a 30-year-old Moanalua man after he allegedly threatened and attempted to injure a 29-year-old woman with a firearm in Moanalua.
The suspect allegedly attempted to harm the victim at about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday. Police said the suspect fled but was later located at a home on Wailele Road in Kaneohe at about 12:12 p.m.
Officers arrested the man on suspicion of attempted second-degree murder, kidnapping, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, a firearm violation and first-degree terroristic threatening.
Crash into vault cuts Hawaii Kai electricity
Approximately 1,700 customers in Hawaii Kai and Koko Head were without power after a vehicle struck a switching vault near Kaiser High School.
The accident occurred near Lunalilo Home Road at about 3:40 a.m. Emergency Medical Services reported the 49-year-old driver of the vehicle suffered a minor nose injury and refused treatment. Power was later restored, according to the Hawaiian Electric Co. website.
