Former University of Hawaii standout Kolten Wong was inducted into the Cape Cod Baseball Hall of Fame on Saturday in Chatham, Mass.
Wong, currently a second baseman with the St. Louis Cardinals, was named 2010 Cape Cod League MVP after batting .346 with 46 hits and 22 stolen bases for the Orleans Firebirds.
Wong, 26, is one of the youngest players inducted into the Hall of Fame for America’s most prominent collegiate summer league.
The Hilo native and Kamehameha-Hawaii graduate was selected in the first round — No. 22 overall — by St. Louis in the 2011 MLB draft.
