Menlo (Calif.) College freshman Emily Sunada was named to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference first team in girls volleyball on Nov. 16.
Sunada, a 2016 ‘Iolani alumna, was the only freshman in the conference to earn the honor.
Playing as a middle blocker for the Oaks, Sunada finished the year with 198 kills and hit .349 with a team-best 74 total blocks.
The 74 blocks were the eighth-highest total in school history.
Menlo finished 15-15 this season.
Katagiri makes All-MAAC second team
Siena (N.Y.) volleyball senior libero Kalehua Katagiri was named to the All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference second team last Thursday.
Katagiri, a 2013 Kamehameha alumna, led the conference in digs (515) and digs per set (5.10). In her two seasons with the Saints, Katagiri recorded 1,038 digs to rank 10th on the school’s career list, and her 4.97 digs per set over that span ranks second all-time.
The Saints finished the season 12-18 overall, 10-8 in conference, and were eliminated in the semifinals of the MAAC Tournament in four sets by No. 1 seed Fairfield (Conn.) on Saturday. Katagiri had a match-high 31 digs against the Stags.

>> Micah Dunhour, Academy of the Pacific ’11: The Cal State East Bay senior forward was 9-for-13 from the field and scored a game-high 22 points with two steals, two assists and two rebounds in a 71-65 win over Fresno Pacific on Nov. 16. Dunhour had 15 points and 11 rebounds in a 54-50 victory over Montana State Billings on Saturday.
>> Ikaika Phillip,‘Iolani ’14: The Grinnell (Iowa) College junior guard had eight points, five rebounds and three steals in 14 minutes of a 167-115 victory over Silver Lake on Saturday.

>> Chanelle Molina, Konawaena ’16: The Washington State freshman guard hit a half-court short at the buzzer to end the second period and finished with 15 points on 6-for-10 shooting with three assists, two steals and a rebound in a 79-72 loss to Oklahoma State on Sunday.
>> Maegen Martin, Maryknoll ’15: The Whitman (Wash.) sophomore forward had 10 points, two rebounds and an assist off the bench in a 67-56 win over UC Santa Cruz on Friday.
>> Cassy Poe, KS-Hawaii ’14: The Whitman (Wash.) starting guard had eight points, four rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block against UC Santa Cruz and totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five steals in a 67-54 victory over Mary Hardin-Baylor on Saturday.
>> Alex Masaquel, ‘Iolani ’13: The William & Mary senior had eight points, eight rebounds, two steals and a block in a 67-39 win over Richmond on Friday.
>> Mikaela Limper, Mililani ’14: The Puget Sound junior guard finished with seven points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in an 81-75 win over Cal Lutheran on Saturday.

>> Manase Hungalu, Kealakehe ’13: The Oregon State linebacker finished with a team-high 10 tackles in a 42-17 win over Arizona on Saturday.
>> Titus Failauga, Mid-Pacific ’13: The Beavers linebacker made three tackles with one for a loss in his return after missing six games with a leg injury in the win over the Wildcats.
>> Tau Lotulelei, Maui ’12: The UNLV linebacker had a team-high 11 tackles and a sack in a 42-25 loss to Boise State on Friday.

>> McKenzie Milton, Mililani ’16: The Central Florida freshman quarterback was 25-for-51 for 233 yards and rushed for a team-high 37 yards on 12 carries in a 45-20 loss to Tulsa on Saturday.
>> Psalm Wooching, Kealakehe ’12: The Washington senior outside linebacker made six tackles and assisted on a sack in a 44-18 win over Arizona State on Saturday.
>> Kavika Laufatasaga, Farrington ’13: The Utah junior linebacker made five tackles in a 30-28 loss to Oregon on Saturday.
>> Pasoni Tasini, Baldwin ’12: The Utes defensive tackle made three tackles and broke up two passes against the Ducks.
>> Breiden Fehoko, Farrington ’15: The Texas Tech defensive tackle assisted on three tackles and was credited with two quarterback hurries in a 66-10 loss to Iowa State on Saturday.
>> Solomon Leaeno, Campbell ’13: The Saint Francis (Pa.) senior linebacker had a game-high nine tackles and two sacks in a 31-24 loss to Wagner on Saturday to end the regular season. The Red Flash will play No. 9 Villanova in the first round of the FCS playoffs on Saturday.
>> Wesley Nagaseu, Waipahu ’13: The Red Flash linebacker made five tackles against Wagner.
>> Kana’i Eldredge, Punahou ’16: The Southern Utah freshman offensive lineman appeared in seven of the Thunderbirds’ 11 games this season at both center and guard. The Thunderbirds finished 6-5 this season and 5-3 in conference. It’s the first time SUU has had back-to-back winning seasons with at least six Division I wins.
>> Josiah Situmeang, ‘Iolani ’13: The Washington (Mo.) University senior defensive end had five tackles and recovered a fumble in a 49-13 loss to Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the NCAA Division III playoffs on Saturday. Situmeang played in all 11 games for the Bears this season and led the team with 7 1/2 tackles for loss among his 52 total tackles. He also had a team-high 61⁄2 sacks and two fumble recoveries.

>> Carly Kan, Punahou ’13: The Missouri senior outside hitter hit .328 with a match-high 25 kills, 21 digs, three block assists and three assists in a five-set win over then-No. 5 Florida on Sunday. Kan’s 20-20 match was the 21st in school history and the second of her career.
>> Adora Anae, Kahuku ’14: The Utah junior outside hitter hit .348 with a match-high 23 kills, nine digs and a block assist in a five-set win over Washington State last Thursday. The win clinched the Utes’ first winning record in Pac-12 play since joining the conference in 2011.
>> Bailey Choy, ‘Iolani ’16: The Utes setter had 26 assists, 10 digs and two aces against the Cougars.
>> Kalei Mau, Kaiser ’13: The Arizona senior outside hitter tied for a team-high with 18 kills and added seven digs, two block assists and an assist in a four-set win over California on Friday.
>> Penina Snuka, Kahuku ’13: The Wildcats senior setter had a match-high 54 assists, seven digs, four kills and two block assists against Cal.
>> Ashley Kelsey, Campbell ’12: The New Mexico junior surpassed 1,000 career digs with 11 in a sweep of Nevada on Nov. 16. Kelsey became the 15th player in program history to reach the 1,000 career digs mark and had a match-high 13 with one ace and one assist in a sweep of San Diego State on Saturday.
>> Reyn Akiu, Kamehameha ’15: The Texas Tech sophomore libero had a match-high 27 digs, two kills and two assists in a five-set loss to TCU on Saturday.
>> Brittney Markwith, Punahou ’13: The Portland middle blocker hit .421 with nine kills and two block assists in a five-set loss to Gonzaga on Monday. The Pilots finished the season 17-13 overall and 10-8 in the West Coast Conference after going 0-27 overall in Markwith’s freshman season in 2013.
>> Brandee Markwith, Punahou ’16: The East Carolina freshman had a match-high 20 digs, six aces and five assists in a four-set victory over Houston last Thursday.
>> Kiki Leuteneker, Seabury Hall ’15: The Cal State East Bay sophomore outside hitter had a team-high eight kills and seven digs in a three-set loss to Cal State San Bernardino last Thursday in the first round of the California Collegiate Athletic Association Tournament.
>> Taryn Auyong, Kamehameha ’14: The Caldwell junior had a match-high 20 kills, 14 digs, four block assists, two aces and two assists in a five-set win over Post University in the semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference tournament on Saturday. Auyong had eight kills, six digs and two assists in a three-set loss to Philadelphia University in the championship game on Sunday.
>> Shaylah Kagehiro, Moanalua ’15: The Azusa Pacific freshman setter had 19 assists, seven digs and a solo block in a sweep of Cal Baptist on Saturday to end the season.
