CrimeStoppers and Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 26-year-old man suspected of shooting a 24-year-old man Wednesday in an illegal gambling den in McCully.

Police identified him Friday as Nathaniel Foster. He is wanted on suspicion of second-degree murder.

Foster is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds.

Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or send an anonymous tip to honolulucrimestoppers.org. CrimeStoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to Foster’s arrest.

Police responded to a report of possible gunshots on Poha Lane near South Beretania Street around 9 p.m. Wednesday. Officers were led to an illegal gambling den on the building’s second floor.

The two men were arguing when Foster shot the victim multiple times, police said.

The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. He sustained apparent gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

Foster allegedly fled the scene before police arrived and was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

A person at the scene said the two men were game room employees.

In September a man allegedly shot two people, a 44-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, inside Cuties Cafe, an illegal game room on North King Street in Chinatown. The woman died and the man was injured.

A reward? He’ll turn up, sooner or later.

  2. youngblood says:

If the guy had any brains (at all) he`s long gone.

  3. keonimay says:

The shooter doesn’t have any brain matter.

They have his picture, his name, witnesses, and a BOLO out for him.

He can’t fly out or ship out. Unless of course, he bought a plane ticket, and before the shooting, and ran straight to the airport after the shooting.

  4. bumba says:

HPD, find this guy and kill’em.

  5. Bdpapa says:

If he didn’t take the first flight out of here, he’s gonna be caught!

  6. Sandybeach says:

Don’t shoot somebody over gambling squabbles. The odds are against you. Probably do better in Las Vegas. On second thought odds in Las Vegas are pretty bad and the odds of getting convicted for murder of a co-worker in an illegal game room are actually in the shooter favor. What the heck… shoot.
