A chrysanthemum, thrown from the dedication well of the USS Arizona Memorial during annual ceremonies in 2015, floated by dark reflections of piping as oil from the battleship coated the surface of Pearl Harbor with a rainbowlike sheen. The National Park Service estimates that the Arizona has leaked about one to eight quarts of oil a day for nearly 75 years.
