>> Jeremiah Taleni, Kailua ’13: The Pittsburgh senior defensive tackle had four total tackles, with one for a loss, and was in on a sack in a 76-61 win over Syracuse on Saturday. The Panthers (8-4) are ranked No. 25 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday.
>> Alohi Gilman, Kahuku ’15: The Navy safety had four tackles with one for a loss in a 75-31 win over SMU on Saturday. The Midshipmen, who are No. 19 in the CFP rankings this week, will play Temple in the American Athletic Conference championship game on Saturday.
>> Kavika Luafatasaga, Farrington ’13: The Utah linebacker had 10 tackles, two for losses, a forced fumble and broke up a pass in a 27-22 loss to Colorado on Saturday. The Utes are No. 20 in this week’s CFP rankings.
>> Bradlee Anae, Kahuku ’16: The Utah true freshman had two solo tackles and recorded his second sack of the season against the Buffs.
>> McKenzie Milton, Mililani ’16: The Central Florida quarterback finished 26-for-42 for 225 yards with two picks in a 48-31 loss to South Florida on Saturday. The Knights are 6-6 and bowl eligible this season after going 0-12 last year.
>> Manase Hungalu, Kealakehe ’13: The Oregon State linebacker had a team-high nine tackles and two quarterback hurries in a 34-24 win over Oregon in the Civil War on Saturday.
>> Titus Failauga, Mid-Pacific ’13: The Beavers linebacker made four tackles and had a quarterback hurry against the Ducks.
>> Ronley Lakalaka, Punahou ’15: The San Diego State sophomore linebacker made six tackles in a 63-31 loss to Colorado State on Saturday.
>> Dakota Turner, Mililani ’13: The Aztecs senior made four tackles against the Rams.
WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL
>> Reyn Akiu, Kamehameha ’15: The Texas Tech sophomore libero was named to the All-Big 12 second team on Monday. Akiu’s 547 digs in her first season as a full-time starter are the second-most in school history. She ranked second in the Big 12 with 4.97 digs per set.
>> Loxley Keala, ‘Iolani ‘13: The Iowa senior setter was named honorable mention All-Big Ten on Tuesday to become the first Hawkeyes player honored by the conference since 2001. In just two years, Keala racked up 2,459 career assists, ranking seventh all-time. She finished fifth in the Big Ten and 37th nationally with 1,212 total assists this season and fourth in the conference and 26th in the country with 11.02 assists per set.
