Handy with a wok? Good at chopping ducks? Expert in wine? A couple of soon-to-open Waikiki restaurants are looking for employees with these skills and more.
Hakkasan Group said it is looking for 100 to 120 workers to staff two restaurants slated to open next year at the International Market Place, and will host a job fair three days next week to fill positions.
The two restaurants are Yauatcha Waikiki, which is slated to open Feb. 1, and Herringbone Waikiki, expected to open in the spring.
Hakkasan held a job fair last month to hire more than 100 people for Yauatcha but still has 30 positions to fill, including restaurant manager, sommeliers, duck chopper, dim sum demi chef and wok chefs.
There are 70 to 90 positions available at Herringbone, including managers, bar jobs and all kitchen jobs.
The hiring event will be at the Ala Moana Hotel from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. More information can be found at hakkasangroup.com.
