A 78-year-old man found floating unresponsive in waters off Ala Moana Beach Park on Saturday has been identified as Qiong Chen of Beijing.
An autopsy is expected to be performed to determine the exact cause of death.
At about 3:53 p.m. Saturday, Chen was found floating near the shoreline of the beach. Police said he was brought to shore, where CPR was performed.
Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital, where Chen later died.
Kealakekua bank robber sought
A man in his late 30s robbed the American Savings Bank branch in Kealakekua on Tuesday, Hawaii island police said.
The robbery happened around 3 p.m.
The suspect is described as a local male with short hair, wearing flowered shorts and a dark blue shirt with a white triangle-type emblem in the front.

2 men charged in Punchbowl car thefts
Two men have been charged in connection with car thefts in the Punchbowl area. Joshua Nicholas Kingsley Tong, 30, and Chad Sabado Timbresa, 35, were arrested Saturday night. Bail for each was set at $25,000.
