Carly Kan, a three-time honorable-mention All-American, and Cali Bunn, high school beach All-American, have joined the Hawaii beach volleyball team for this coming season.
The 5-foot-9 Kan, who has two seasons of beach eligibility remaining, was a hitter for Missouri and finished No. 2 all-time in kills for the Tigers. The 2013 Punahou graduate helped the Buffanblu to a state title as a senior.
Bunn spent last semester at Tulane before transferring to UH. The Cathedral Catholic (San Diego) High graduate gives the SandBows four AVCA high school beach All-Americans on the roster, along with Chloe Luyties, Morgan Martin and Emma Smith.
Hawaii, the defending Big West champion, opens practice Jan. 17. The SandBows (18-10) finished fourth at last May’s inaugural NCAA championship.
No. 18 Hawaii Pacific routs Holy Names
Six players scored in double figures as No. 18 Hawaii Pacific improved to 14-1 overall and 6-1 in PacWest play in a 90-67 win over Holy Names in Oakland, Calif.
Connor Looney led the Sharks with 18 points and seven rebounds. Dante Robinson scored a game-high 18 points for the Hawks (1-14, 0-8).

Lindsay Littlejohn was the only double-digit scorer for the Hawks (1-13, 1-7) with 15 points. Breanna Mackenzie led HPU (8-3, 5-1) with 18 points and eight rebounds.
