Prosecutors have charged a 25-year-old Kalihi man, one of two suspects in a home invasion robbery early Tuesday morning involving five victims at a Honolulu home.
Samuel Hufanga was charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer.
Police said two males entered a Honolulu residence and held at gunpoint four men, ranging in age from 37 to 69, and a 68-year-old woman.
The robbers allegedly took money, property and a vehicle belonging to one of the victims.
Hufanga’s bail was set at $100,000.
He was arrested at 1:36 a.m. at 1470 Ahonui St.
near his home.
Pair sought in armed robbery of driver
Police are looking for two males who allegedly stole items from a 47-year-old man who gave them a ride to Kalihi.
About 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, police said, the victim picked up the two males who asked to be driven to a nearby location. The victim and his passengers were not known to one another.
During the ride, the suspects brandished a dangerous instrument, threatened the victim and demanded that he hand over his property.
Police said the males fled on foot with items they stole from the man. There have been no arrests.
